Rating

Thanks for the help with the music, I struggle with that stuff, like I said. Go ahead and turn off the music if you don't like it. They are just a few songs that I enjoy.

I am not much of a "rater," but I have a lot of friends with young children, so I thought I might share this. Feel free to respond and tell me if you disagree. I can handle it - I promise.

I just wanted to let you know about something I learned at the doc's office today. APPARENTLY this is really important (so why was it not in the info they gave me at the hospital??). This is just ONE of many products that contain these carcinogens: "...paraben." This is a known cancer causing agent (carcinogen) that "they" say in small doses does nothing. BUT, for infants, a small dose to me is a lethal dose to my daughter. . . Her paper cuts go from one knuckle to the other- that is 1/3 of her finger. Do you see what I am saying? A papercut for me is maybe half of my fingertip. Something small for me can be ginormous for my infant. SO, my doc warned me about it. She said they will put it in children's medication for that reason, but she said to watch out for it because for children it doesn't take very much.

This is my rating. Terrible product. Take it or leave it. Your choice.

Roadblocks

SO, my friends and I have had this big fun event planned for a few weeks: get together and eat pizza dip- VERY exciting, I know. As I finalized the plans with my friend, Jane, I double-checked my directions and said, as if inspiration was guiding my words, " Well, Jane, I will make sure to be there. I will probably be early because I am leaving really early. But you know me, if I am not early, then I will be late. So don't worry if the time has arrived, but I haven't."

I feel as though the world was against me that day.

Road block 1:

Really big moving truck. Yes, that would be MY driveway it is blocking . . .

2 - They were really nice to move it, but the dude didn't pull back very far, so that bank of snow that you see at the end of my driveway provided me with obstacle number 2. I got stuck. I didn't mind the getting stuck part, it was that all the mover guys (and my husband) were just standing there watching me try to get out of it on my own - that was the crack-up for me!!

3 - This is going to show my inteligence (or lack thereof), I got to one friends' apt to pick her up, and APPARENTLY I had told her that I would be there an hour later - why did this not surprise me?? (see numbers 1 & 2).

4 - On our way to our other friend's house, we hit traffic. And not just a really buisy freeway kind of traffic, either. It was bumper-to-bumper-sit-and-watch-the-clock-make-you-late kind of traffic.

5 - So, in case I haven't proved my own inneptness, this one should spell it out for you. I am now in my friend's housing neighborhood- still haven't picked her up yet. She calls because she is concerned about the time- yeah, we were running "a little" late. I say, "Oh no, we are almost there. I am just turning now onto your street, the one right after the park." This is when she says, "well, it might take you a little longer than you think because my street is the second one after the park . . ." Oh nuts!

6 - We finally make it to our destination (an apartment complex) and not without that friend calling, a little concerned about the time, right?? So, I enter the gate that I have entered before, and look around. Why does this scene look soooo different from the one I remember?!? So, I continue to go down the various streets of her complex- this stinkin' complex is HUGE! All the while the backseaters are telling me that I am going to wrong way. But, I continue to guess, and lo and behold, it actually WAS the right way, and we FINALLY made it to our destination . . . 30 minutes late. Am I the only one who has experienced life compiling itself just tomake you feel bad about your own innability to plan out, and actually make it, on time?!?!

We ended up having a ton of fun. Maybe next time I will be on time!!

P.S. The stinker is crawling!!
