I-Goose-eggs

(Couldn't pick a name)

Well, this is post 100.

The big 1-0h-0h.

The age I sorta hope I never see.

A whole lotta . . .

not much -

but so, SO much to me.

So I dedicate this one to YOU (you are the reason I blog, afterall). My lil fam started this lil blog mostly to span the long distances we have between family members. And phone calls are great, but really the pictures say SO much more than words.

So HERE's to you. For reading. And (hopefully) enjoying.

Love,
US

Curse of the Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Once upon a time I could make killer cookies.

When I set out to make cookies, I MADE cookies.
Betty Crocker stopped baking when my cookies were yet uneaten.
Chocolate chip makers would beg me to use their products . . .
in hopes that my amazing cookies would entice others to purchase their chocolate.

Not really.

But I really did make some goodies.

Ever since I started school in UT I get chocolate chip pancakes instead of cookies. They go in the same beautiful doughy goodness that I once knew, they come out pancakes. But very burnt looking. Probably burnt tasting. I'll be honest, I am usually too disheartened by their looks to try them.

So I decided tonight to give it a whirl. It's been a few years (I can only handle so many let downs). But, NOPE. Still I get chocolate chip pancakes. I am so sad :(

Payson Lakes

A last minute trip up to Payson lakes had me running through the house, giddy with excitement I haven't experienced since I was a kid on Christmas morning. We went to meet up with some family and roast hot dogs/smores. It was SO much fun.

The Group.

It didn't take the tot long at all to find the dirt and cover herself with it.
At least they had fun, right?

A safe distance from Tots.

When she decided she was ready to sit and eat, this is how she did it!
It is amazing what nature does to people, right?
My Little Lady. Lol.

All wiped down, sleepy-eyed, and ready to go home :)

It was SO much fun!

Cute, of the "Not-So" Variety

The tot's favorite thing to do is laugh at the babe.

The babe's favorite thing to do is laugh at the tot.

A few weeks ago Chad and I awoke at 2am to
shrill laughter coming from the direction of the nursery.

The tot is famous for waking up the babe.

Not 15 minutes later I am woken up again, but this time the babe was crying. Apparently tots decided she wanted to sleep again . . . and the babe was not okay with that.

Cute, tot. But, really, not so cute.

Freedom's Celebrations

Catch-up CrAzInEsS!

We had a great weekend of celebration for the 4th this year. We were actually early enough to the see the hot air ballons blown up on the field. They never launched this year due to the cRaZy winds, but they were so exciting to see!!

We were too exhausted to go see the fireworks, but they added nicely to the war scenes in Pearl Harbor :)

Then Monday morning we saw the parade and had BBQ later that day with family. Here are some shots of that.

Back in the Blog-o-sphere

SOOOOO . . . .
"Where have we been," you ask??

Tending to two ear-infections and the speckly virus that turned the daughter who I affectionately call Ms Giggles (and my sister very unmercifully calls "Cheekers") into a cranky-pants whiner. She wouldn't let me put her down. At all. That means diapers went unchanged and dinners went unmade. I have discovered that Chad DOES in fact know how to read (and follow) a recipe. (And that he thinks hot dogs go well with just about anything!)

But the virus is gone and the only thing remaining of the ear infections is the anti-biotic that she will have to take for another week.

(Guirmy demonstrating how I felt at the end of this messy week)
SO GLAD IT IS OVER.

Baby Gama

Breanne brought her baby doll up to me yesterday and said, "Baby!"

It's been a while since she was this excited about her doll, so I ask, "Breanne, does your baby have a name?"

Breanne looked a little puzzled by this question.

Me: "Breanne, what do you want to call your baby? Sarah?"

A light turns on in Breanne's head.

Breanne: "No. Gama," She says after a pause.

Me: "Okay. Baby gama?"

Breanne smiles. "Baby Gama."

From this point on Breanne refers to this doll as Baby Gama.

Sweet Nothings

Because I have nothing else to blog about, or because I have been thinking about this a lot, I am going to dedicate this one to Chad.

(I promise to keep it short and non-sickenning).

Sleep has been rather evasive for me. So lately I will lie awake at night, looking at the man asleep at my side.

I chalk my decision to marry Chad up there with my decision to serve a mission: The biggest blessings I have been given, as both have eternally changed my life.

Speaking of eternity, I'll be honest, it sounded rather dull until Chad stepped into the picture. . .

. . . And then the children came! :)

Please make my eternity extra long because at this rate, it couldn't possibly be long enough to fully appreciate!
