Once upon a time I could make killer cookies.
When I set out to make cookies, I MADE cookies.
Betty Crocker stopped baking when my cookies were yet uneaten.
Chocolate chip makers would beg me to use their products . . .
in hopes that my amazing cookies would entice others to purchase their chocolate.
Not really.
But I really did make some goodies.
Ever since I started school in UT I get chocolate chip pancakes instead of cookies. They go in the same beautiful doughy goodness that I once knew, they come out pancakes. But very burnt looking. Probably burnt tasting. I'll be honest, I am usually too disheartened by their looks to try them.
So I decided tonight to give it a whirl. It's been a few years (I can only handle so many let downs). But, NOPE. Still I get chocolate chip pancakes. I am so sad :(

altitude, perhaps? maybe someone you know has a recipe that figures in any adjustments you might need. oh, and are you using butter or margarine? I know that can make a difference also. Other than that, I haven't the foggiest idea why it might not be working for you. Good luck in future endeavors!
Do you want them to be cakier? I like mine chewy and soft. If you want a recipe, I can email you one (but if it's the altitude than I don't know if it'll work).
Your cute, of not so variety blog cracked me up. Your babe and tot are adorable. Do they share a room?
So my cookies are always round and pretty fluffy. If you want me to email you my recipe for chocolate chip cookies let me know! I hate it when cookies don't turn out.
