Pumpkin Pie

Once upon a time we had pumkins by our front door:
3 small, 1 large.



Then the time came to cut them up. That's right, I said cut them up.

And make pumpkin mush. Yes, I said pumpkin mush.
for: Pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumkin rolls, pumpkin pancakes, even just a lil pumpkin in our pasta (Shhh! Don't tell!).

& the fruits of my labors- pumpkin seeds!!

Nice. Did it work/taste just like the canned pureed pumpkin? Or was it better? Or worse? I remember my mom making pie from a real pumpkin and it was not as good. But maybe she did it wrong.
